Rigging block
The idea:
Develop a compact rigging block with high perfor-mances.
Difficulty:
Pulleys have always existed or almost (the oldest pictures found yet date back 870 BC!), we had to find a new concept or a new shape.
2014 - A first prototype is made, and after the first field tests we find out the first problems of use (one year use). For different reasons, this project is put on hold.
End of 2017 - We take the first prototypes out and use 3D printing to validate both shape and size.
2018 - Development continued: 6 new prototypes are made to be tested in the trees, 1 is now being used for rigging works.
