Description
A fusion between a rigging block and a friction ring, the DONUT offers the best of both worlds, separate or combined. Choose to use the sheave to lift or move a load, or the central part for useful friction when rigging. Need both? The DONUT will take two ropes simultaneously to help you manage complex situations, i.e. a heavy load or a delicate load transfer.
Friction is a vital element of rigging, especially for dynamic rigging works. It reduces the effort on the cylinder and helps the ground man control the speed of the load during the descent. The increased control contributes to the climber’s safety and that of the team by minimising the risks linked to abrupt or uncontrolled movements.
Round shape, simpler operations. The DONUT is efficient, but not just that. It is also ingenious. The round shape limits wrong positions and reduces the risk of overhanging. It is also easier to set up, even between two axes. The symmetry also allows the use with several slings to adjust its placement with more precision.
It can be used on the ground, as a redirect for instance, or up in the tree, and has a great ratio weight/WLL for its category. One more asset in demanding rigging configurations.
