FTC TREE SUPPORTS THE ASSOCIATION ENQUÊTE D'ARBRES

EnQuête d'Arbres, wassat??

The association was created in 2011 by 2 arborists, Jérémie and Laurent, in order to help scientists for their research in rainforests. Both climbers were aware of how important it was for the scientists to be independent in the trees and in a potentially very hostile environment.

This is why they created a specific training for scientists: to help them achieve the necessary autonomy to conduct their research work safely in the canopies of rainforests.

Simultaneously, and not unlike the mountain climbers, Jérémie and Laurent are looking for the highest trees in the world - to climb and measure them - a “Seven summits” for arborists. Trees have led them to Tasmania, Borneo, Papua… An already long list of explorations and expeditions in the forests of all continents. For more, find photos/videos/stories here:

Why Congo?

In March, it is for a training that Jérémie and Laurent are leaving for Congo: to collaborate with the association Help Congo, in partnership with the association Beauval Nature. Just like in Laos in 2019 with the Anoulak association, the aim is to train members of the Help Congo association to access the canopy, set up camera traps in trees and this way be able to observe the chimpanzees in situ. This year, Jérémie and Laurent have a new companion: Lohan, new member of the association, will be producing a 26 mn-documentary on the expedition in the Conkouati-Douli National Park.

"Trees are only an excuse: for travelling, sharing and discovering."
Laurent Pierron
Directeur OF FTC TREE AND founder of the association Enquête d'arbres

For Laurent, FTC Tree director and founder of the association, it is the opportunity to climb and test FTC Tree products on a demanding playground. It is above all an opportunity to share amazing life experiences. This year will be special, since Lohan, the expedition’s video artist, is his son. And what better in a life than sharing a passion throughout the world with your son…
